Are there any sprint users in here who have sim cards in their 8830 right now? if so what does your phone say on "Network" when you go into

Advanced options --> Sim card and type in "MEPD" (you will not see what your typing)

We all know the sprint phone is natively unlocked but I want to know if it says "active" or "disabled" on the unlocked sprint phones.

Network is Active, all others are disabled

Mine is the same; however, a co-worker just arrived Singapore with am 8830 and she was only getting SOS.
Eventhough she had the BB Intl. plan. Called CS on her behalf and it turns out one must call 888-226-7212 to activate the SIM prior to using it for the first time.
CS is expediting the sim activation and should take 30 to 60 min.
Wonder if once activated the statuses will change?

Is she using the verizon intl sim card or another carrier and who's customer service did you call if she is not using the VZW sim card?

She's using the Sprint SIM card, and it is still not working.

I have no clue when it comes to sprint... sorry man
