Question sprint sero UL data vs. BB data plan?

Please Login to Remove!

so what's the deal here? will the unlimited data included in a sprint sero account allow you to surf the web on the 8830? is the BB data plan only required for push email?

No. SERO includes unlimited data for a pocketpc phone or a treo. Blackberry data is $39.99 per month extra. It includes unlimited use as a tethered modem, web data and email.

Anyway you can install the Opera and other Email client to use with the SERO Plan. I don't see the reason to pay $40 more for have the same is free with the Treo and Pocket PC....

Sure, but some functions won't work. E-mail for one.

yes u can use SERO powervision, technically. sprint may catch on and make u get BB data, i dunno. youd have to use opera and say gmal client for mail. and yes gps will stilll work but you loose the key feature of having a blackberry the push email.

i thought bout it this way, im only paying $30 a month for my plan, 500 min 7pm n.w and unlimited texts. normally 450 min is 39.99 and unlim texts is $10 and powervision is $15 totalling $65 full price. so im paying $70 with sero plan and bb data, so its really only $5 more than youd normally pay really. its not too bad a deal its worth it.

Thanks klmsu19.
I hear you regarding the push email, but that's not what interests me about the device. What I want is a smartphone without a camera that doesn't have the trademark flakyness of WM devices.
Although your numbers are good for you, I have to account for an additional line on my family share plan that costs only $20.

By the by, is roaming free with SERO plans? Knowing I could roam onto Verizon's network would give me much more confidence in moving to Sprint.
