Default 8830: yahoo messenger "to activate"...

Please Login to Remove!

hey!

I just got my new blackberry last night... this is my first blackberry so trying to figure it all out.

I have downloaded the software from the blackberry website..
but when i try to log in and push the "sing in" thing... it keeps giving me the following pop up:

"please visit www.blackberry.com/go/yahoo to activate your handheld for yahoo! messenger"

i have gone to the site and redown-loaded it about 4 times.... anyone have any idea what is going on..?

Can you receive and send email messages already? I experienced the same problem once, and when I checked it with my carrier, they had to do a reset on their RIM connections on my account. After that, everything was fine. Try it, might work.

Yahoo Messenger is not yet supported on Sprint BlackBerry devices. AOL and Google Talk work fine. As an alternative, you can download a trial of JiveTalk at beejive :: JiveTalk mobile messaging and hopefully Yahoo will be approved by then.
