No, it seems pretty legit.
You do realize you have to establish new service with a 2 year contract to get that $99 price, right?

Looks like a pretty standard offer. If plan on signing a new contract, check out Amazon. They usually have even better deals than that one. The biggest advantage to using ebay for phone purchases in my opinion is that you can get devices for decent prices without contract renewals or anything.

My $.02 is this! In my experience your always better of buying a pda, smartphone, bb, etc from a company owned store. Your always protected in case of defects by the carrier, and have 30 days to return it if you don't like it.

With ebay your usually stuck with the device once you pay for it. You may pay a little more in the store , but sometimes it's better safe to be sorry.

All this is based on the topic of smartphones. I do however find ebay handy for a lot of other things. And you can discover great deals every once in a while.

One suggestion if you are nervous about ebay is to use PayPal Buyer Protection when you purchase the item along with shipping insurance. If there is any problem with the device that was not identified by the seller, it will either be paid for by the shipping insurance or you can be refunded through PayPal if it was not damaged in shipping.

I just pay attention to people's feedback scores. There are thousands of people on there selling smartphones and the like, you can certainly find one trustworthy.

When i go my first BB i got it off of ebay gently used. I didn't want to buy a brand new one and not like it. You just need to find good person to get a phone from.
