Thumbs down Voicemail problem

Hi,
When someone calls to my cell (att bb8800) it is not going to VM, getting a message like "need more information...etc.

When i call my VM from my BB i am getting "welcome to att, we need more information todirect appropriate VM....etc


How to fix this

Almost sounds as though the voice mailbox is not set up properly. You may need to contact AT&T to have them check it or reset the mailbox.

I called att cs, after 30mins , twice deleted and reset my VM , finally i got my VM back, if i miss a call it is going to VM with a standard message.
She asked me to change my VoiceMail number to : 1 203 722 8320

Second part: how to access my VM?
When i call VM i.e 1 203 722 8320
"welcome to at&t voice mail , we need more informaton to direct your call to appropriate voicemail box . To leave a message please enter 10 digit phone number of the person you are trying to call. if you have a mailbox on this system press # ....etc "
