Default Getting new 8700 today need suggestions

hi everyone i am new to this blackberry world and i m getting my blackberry today and i want to know from all the people out here

if there are any important things or must haves that i will be needed to load on the phone once i will get my phone please let me know

and i heard one thing that if i will setup gmail on my blackberry the emails sent email copy are comming back to the inbox how can i set up a filter for that

feel free to advice me coz that is why i am here for

In order to block sent messages from being delivered to your device you have to set up a filter that will NOT forward messages to your device if the FROM address in the message is <youraddress>@gmail.com. That will stop the messages sent from your BlackBerry from showing back on the BlackBerry.

As for the must haves it depends on what you will use the device to do. I am a big task and chat person so I have purchased and installed todoMatrix as well as JiveTalk. Some of the free apps I love are Google Maps, Beyond411 and Opera Mini.

If you're into ringtones, I'd suggest MiniRingtone. You can create your own mp3 ringtones from your favorite songs.

MiniRingtone for BlackBerry - Personalize Your BlackBerry Ringtone for 7100/8700/8100/8800 Series

The ringtones I created with it are better than any downloaded ringtones, if I do say so myself.
