Unable to Delete Some E-mails
 

I have searched the forum for an answer and have not yet found one. I have an 8830 on a BES from work. After transferring messages from my old BB to the new one via the our tech guys and the BES, I have many e-mails that I am unable to delete from the device. Any suggestions on how to go about deleting these messages? I have deleted the messages from my GroupWise mailbox and tried reconciliation with no success to date.

This is something that has been fixed with BES 4.1.2 and later I believe.

The only way around this...until your BES admin upgrades to the latest version, is to go into Desktop Manager. Double Click Backup/Restore --Click Advanced...then find the messages on the phone and click "Clear". This is the only work around for this that I'm aware of.

Just FYI, this issue is only with Blackberrys on an OS of 4.2 or later(Pearl-8100,8800,etc). Older blackberry's dont see this issue.

Thank you LMBB!! That worked great!! I first backed up all the messages onto the PC, then deleted them all from the 8830. I then re-loaded them onto the device at which time I was able to delete those I no longer wanted on the BB.
