I can access this URL from my blackberry just fine, but I have javascript disabled in my browser.

I also ensured the URL has 'S' in httpS as browser offers http:// by default when you type URL.

Angry Can't get to Govt Email site

I am not sure if thats baka or not

The service guy said all handheld phones can not access govt Microsoft outlook express. If I can get on to that site from any computer in the world without any additional software or configuration, why can't I get it from my blackberry.

By the way, all my boss can get it directly -set up email, but I don't want to do that because my blackberry is not paid by government.

Just like I can access to hotmail from going to Sign In without setting it up, can't see why my govt office account can't be accessed like I could from any computer.

kichigai.

fisherman, if very well could be a security issue, where your BB is not secure enough to access that site. Sometimes, the Opera Mini browser is able to access more secure sites than the normal browser.

Would you please clean up your language in that last post--lots of ages of people come into this forum, let's keep it presentable for all.

Thanks, much.

Wirelessly posted (Opera/8.01 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/3.1.8295/1690; en; U; ssr))

I can access that OWA page just fine with Opera mini on a 8703e. You might want to try the Opera browser.

Not sure what see-only browser is, but installing and trying Opera Mini won't take much effort to find out.
Go here from your BlackBerry, http://mini.opera.com/

Why don't you have your hotmail setup through your BIS?

fisherman, people are trying to help you here. You might pretend you are reading the posts, and try to answer the questions.

I don't have any problem accessing that site from either the internet browser or Opera Mini. I've tried it from both. Of course, I can't sign-in to the site, so you will have to try it to see if it works for you.

Default I tried it with Opera-mini

Please read my post carefully. I did tried it with Opera-mini and I can access it. But can't find how to reply to the email. Thats why I ask if it is a "read-only" brower.

Why did you say that I pretend anything???

I have not been able to access it through Internet explorer and if you can, I like to know if you have installed any software that most 8703e doesn't have.

ahahhh, i see you that now in the header of the post, not in the post. My bad. No wonder I missed it.

No, I don't have any additional software installed that would enhance my browsers.

Opera mini is not a "read-only" browser. I use it to access and reply to my webmail account occasionally.

I am beginning to understand more of your needs now after reading your other thread about your AOL mail. You are trying to access your personal email (yahoo, AOL, etc.) as well as your work email, from your browser to keep from having them on the device as BIS accounts?

Default I don't want everyone to have access to my emails

I have a habit of leaving my cell phone everywhere, thats why I don't want to set it up . Ny using the internet, I can keep my privacy. I know we can set up password, but I have too many password to worry about. And most importantly, my "relative" borrowed my cell phone once in a while. I don't want them to read all my emails.

I still couldn't figure how you can access

https:webmail.ontario.ca

with internet explorer

Well for heaven's sake use a password that you already use elsewhere and already have memoried, then. And a holster to keep the BB in, rather leaving it everywhere.

If you can't use Desktop Manager, your only choice is to copy your contacts one at a time to your SIM card, phone numbers only, nothing else.
Why can't you use your Desktop Manager? Is it a connection problem? Then load DM to a friend's PC, do a backup of the old and restore to the new or use tje Switch Device Wiz in DM.
Reading over your thread here makes me wonder why you don't use your BlackBerry as it was intended--you are really limiting you abilities and its features.
