im so glad i joind this forums, i was googling abt information on BB and i found your site
as u can tell im a new BB user, i have 8700g and am using it as a regular phone because i didnt register for the internet service yet, which am planning to do very soon!
i got the BB last week and am starting to be familier with it, i was a little bit disappointed because theres no media player on it, and im the kinda person who like changing ringtones for the people calling me.

It is near impossible to get ringtones without having a BlackBerry Data Plan. Several months ago, over in the Media section of this forum, someone posted a very involved method to do so.

Welcome to the Forums.

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Welcome to the group. You might try mobile.blackberry.com and nav to the tones and tunes. But look around the board here and you will find more than I can tell you. (If could recommend something more, I'd point you to it.)

Search this thread for the 4.2 upgrade. It comes with a media file that you can use to transfer pics and music from your pc to bb. You will also need the lastest desktop manager as well.

You can download tones and wallpaper from T-Zones just as you would for any other mobile phone. . . assuming you're on TMO service. . . .
You can then associate Custom Phone Tune to any of your Address Book contacts. . . .
