Default Use music as ringtone on verizons 8830

Please Login to Remove!
I have put music on my sd card and moved it to the device memory and selected it as y ringtone but it dosent play. Dose anyone know how to fix this?

what extension does it use? mp3, aac?

they use both and neiher work

that's odd.... mine works fine. i'm using aac (128 VBR) ripped in itunes and having no problems at all.

when my card formated when I plugged in the SD card and opened it it had folders labeled "Music" "Photos" "Pictures" "Ringtones" "video" and if you drop music into the music folder so far when in the device i cant transfer it to a ringtone. Also your songs might be over the size limit for a ringtone (If it has one).

Did you transfer through Roxio or did you merely click the option on your handheld to set as ringtone?
