Default BB 7130v cannot open some attachments

Please Login to Remove!

Guys im wondering can you help me.

I have a user in our company who cannot open some attachments on his 7130v, this only started happening after i reinstalled the OS on his phone. I checked to make sure the 'Blackberry Attachment Service' is installed, and it is. Its 'Blackberry Attachment Service V4.1' that is installed.

Now i have sent him a .doc .xls and .jpg to his device and they seem to open fine. But some larger .doc files (~7mb) do not open. This is very peculiar and i cannot find any reason why some .doc files open and some dont. When you highlight the [Attachment] in the email and click the scroll wheel there is no option to open the attachment!

Can anyone help me or advise why this may not be working? is there an updated attahcment service module?

Is there a free attahcment viewer that i might be able to install that could work!

Cheers!

baspaul, I believe the issue on those attachments could be the size, another user might confirm that for us.

I like using BeamBerry BeamBerry - View, Print, Store BlackBerry e-mail attachments

Repligo or eOffice is also a choice.

cheers for that, i think the problem might lie in the type of word document he is gettin sent rather than the device itself!
