I want to use the media card to store email-attachments to have them later on transferable via USB to a standalone PC. The attachment format is neither PDF, nor Office/word/excel.
Is there any way to downlaod an email-attachment and to store it on my 8800 - medicard or memory?

No, you can't do that.

Now, you can transfer them from your PC to your Media Card if you want.

u need a 3rd party app to be able to do that. i'm not 100% on whether Dynoplex Masterdoc or eoffice might work for you. i do know that after i installed Masterdoc on my pearl, i got 'edit attachment' and 'view attachment' menu items in my messages. there is a program called efile that comes with most dynoplex products that can handle any kind of file, but in order to get functionality i think you have to buy a dynoplex product, not sure.
