Default Howard Stern on iPhone

Please Login to Remove!

I heard a caller on Stern the other day proclaim that he was listening to the show on his iPhone. Apparently he was able to access it (not sure if it was howardstern.com or sirius.com) through his safari browser. Was he telling the truth? Is it possible to have that functionality with blackberry?

THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS!

AT&T has a deal with XM where you can receive a limited number of channels for something like $10/month (not sure on the price). I didn't know the subscription channels were part of that. He may have been using something like orb.com or one of many streaming programs. Also, with XM you can get service over the web, maybe that is what he was using.
I don't know how well it works over EDGE but orb worked great on my 3G connection with Cingular.

sirius has a web client that allows account holders to listen online. Safari is capable of running this client although i think the stability would be much better on a wifi network rather than EDGE.

All attempt to get the Sirius web site player to work on BB have not worked. Sirius is not an option at this point, as mentioned above XM does have a pay to listen service on ATT but it again will be unstable on EDGE.

BTW, it is my understanding that Howard is only on Sirius and not XM. So even if you could stream xm on an Iphone, they are not cross-loading content, so it wouldn't work.

Only thing I can think of is that the person is streaming it over the internet via the sirius player. Question is, were they calling while streaming?

well since the iphone does not stream XM and he states that it was through Safari then its using internet player. They cant call while listening so I would imaging theres no question about any of it.
