I'm the new owner of a 7230 with T-Mobile. I get errors and total system hangs frequently, at least daily, and not always when doing the same function. Usually clicking the wheel will reset the system, but twice I've had to remove the battery to get it to reset. It's not debilitating, but it is annoying. Is this normal for BB's or should I send it back and have it replaced while it's still in the 14-day trial period?

have it replaced for a new one. It also depends on what type of software you are running. Apps and so on. However, you might as well change it during your trial period while you still can. BB's are great. sounds like you may have caught a bad one. but then again, it could be your programs

What version of the software is running (Options / Status). If that was happening to me (and it is not normal), I would blow the device away and reload the operating system.

Under Options/Status I don't see any software version listed. Under Options/Applications I see BlackBerry 3.7 listed, if that's the version. It's straight from T-Mobile, no additional apps or changes made by me. Based on the above advice, I'll probably get it replaced just to be sure.

I would upgrade it to at least there 4.0.0.185 code, you can get it from http://www.tmobile.com/bbupgrade

I personally put another vendors code that was 4.0.0.188, which I thought was better, but it all depends what you do with it.
