Question CitiMobile doesn't work after 8700c O/S upgrade to 4.2

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, is anyone a Citimobile user and are you having problems on O/S 4.2? It was working fine on this same device prior to the o/s upgrade and Citibank isn't being very helpful. They keep pointing me to my internal tech who I'm sure won't be able to help.

When you run CitiMobile, the device just hangs. Eventually, if you try turning it off and on a few times you get this error message:

Uncaught Exception
Application
CitiMobile_BlackBerry_MDP
2(276) is not responding
Process terminated

It could be that the application does not support the 4.2 OS version. I know Opera Mini had this issue with certain versions of the 4.2 OS.

Unhappy I suspect it is the OS as well ...

but Citibank isn't confirming that yet and, oh well, you know how these things go.

I have 4.2 also, and I'm facing exactly the same error. I'm new to citibank, so I never tested on 4.1

If you discover any workaround, please let me know. It's a shame to not be able to use citimobile

Wow has anyone found a workaround for this? I just tried it on my Pearl and I'm getting the same error.

Same issue on my 8703e with 4.2

I actually called Citi Mobile Tech Support and they confirmed that their software has issues with the new OS. They actually took down my phone number and will supposedly contact me when it's fixed. We'll see.

Yes, Citibank confirmed to me that it doesn't work, but they are releasing a new version of the Citimobile software soon that is supposed to fix the problem.

Thumbs up IT WORKS with 4.5.0.42 BlackBerry OS

ALL. it finally works again with the new blackberry OS> I have a pre-released copy but all is WELL and FINE NOW! Re-download the citi mobile application from the citi site and enjoy after the 4.5 upgrade!
