Default 4GB micro SD High Capacity Memory Card

Please Login to Remove!

This may be related and already covered but I'm the proud owner of a new 8830 World Edition (Verizon). Can I use the new 4GB micro SD High Capacity Memory Card, micro SDHC Card with SD Card Adapter? I think Sandisk is one manufacturer. I just want as much memory has possible. Thanks.

The 8 Gig is now available, but it has yet to be tested with the device.

Yup -- just don't try to insert it with the SD card adapter into your BB...

RIM supports up to 2GB which I use but many 8830 users on this site are using 4GB with no problems.

Default Where can I find the 4GB micro SD high Capacity Memory Card in the US?

I went to the link for MemoryKing but it only lists the United Kingdom when you want to purchase. Where can I find that card and reader in the US?

When I saw the circulation of this 4GB microSD SanDisk cards sold in BULK PACKAGING, I contacted the Product Manager in regards to this as to why there are Retail Packaging and Bulk Packaging circulating on the web. So finally, just this afternoon, SanDisk confirmed that they DO NOT SELL Bulk Packaging. Hence, the ones that are being sold that is not in Retail Packaging is counterfeit.
