Default Automatic Local time update

Please Login to Remove!

When I first got my 8700 I was in Utah and was surprised that when I brought it back to Michigan and checked it in the airports on the way there that it automatically updated the clock to the local time. Now a year or so later and who knows how many OS updates as well, it doesn't seem to work anymore. My date/time options are set to draw the time from the network, and the network time is accurate for my time zone, but the actual time displayed I need to force an update for it to actually update. I'm not yet running the latest OS, still 4.1.0.194, but did this feature go away or become disabled somehow, or was the time thing just my imagination?

BlackBerrys do not change your time zone automatically. They never have--as far as I know--at least back to OS version 3.7 or so.

You must update the TZ yourself upon reaching another TZ.

Default Great idea for a new app

My old CDMA cell phone used to update automatically. It would be nice if someone wrote a small app for the berry (even better if RIM included it in the OS) to switch to local time automatically.
