Default 8830 World Edition Text Messages Won't Clear

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

I'm having an issue with the Sprint Blackberry 8830 World Edition. I'm using the BB Today Desktop Theme so I can see the two recent messages, two recent calendar entries, calls, etc etc.

Well, I received two SMS text messages from a friend and deleted them, but they *will not* delete off the last two entries on the "message" list. They do not show up in my SMS inbox or regular email inbox, but they show up on the "Theme" message list. If I get other emails those will show up on the last two messages, but as soon as those are gone, the text messages come back.

Does anyone know how to clear those out?

Thanks,
Ben

Pull the battery while the BB is powered to reboot.

If still there, look in the SAVED messages, or SMS folder.

Default Another Possible solution

If you are using a Today theme you can try going into your message list, selecting the date and then selecting mark prior opened. The only issue is that if you have unread messages prior to this SMS it will be marked open as well.

Great, I just got more text messages and they won' clear either..... I'll try your mark prior to open suggestion, but it looks like I'll have to unplug the battery anytime I get a text? That's no fun.

Ben, no you shouldn't have to pull the battery to clear text messages. Do suggested above to mark prior open.

Nope! Doesn't clear them trying that. The only way I can get them to clear off the message list is to pull the battery... weird.
