I have a cingular 7100g and would like to send it to my friend overseas in Denmark. He uses Sonofon wireless. Does anyone know if my BB is unlocked so that he will be able to use it, or is it Cingular locked? Is there some way to tell on the device itself. Of course when I asked Cingular they will not say a word.

i have an old at&t sim in mine currently and it works fine...but considering they are the same company, maybe that doesnt help!

You're right on target. The 7100g and newer 7290 from Cingular will only with with Cingular (orange) and AT&T (blue) SIM cards....
