Default personal email viewable by corporate server?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi - newb here!
I have Cingular service & operate through my company's corporate server

Please excuse my naivety!

If I set up personal e-mail, can this be viewed by my IT department at our corporate server? Or is this feature only a local exchange between the personal ISP & the handheld?

One thing I noticed while testing was that a new folder was created for the personal e-mail - but it also places the mail in my general (corporate mail) folder. Is there a way to have it ONLY in the personal folder?

Appreciate your counsel!

It would be very to assume that the company can view and access anything on the handheld. It is their network and their device. To specifically address your question. They cannot force BIS email (being send to you) to route through their server BUT they can force all of your replies to those message to go through their server and they can audit and view them.
