Default 4.2 good -- and then bad?

Please Login to Remove!

I have had the updated OS on my 8700c for a couple of weeks now. While I will say that most of the time I enjoy the attachment upgrade and other features, I am annoyed by the hourglass that persistently shows up when I am trying to use applications. It's not that it just shows up; it just turns around and around until I have to do a battery-pull reboot.

Is this common? It almost makes me want to go back to 4.1 -- almost.

That is not normal. I have a couple of people in our office running 4.2 with no problems.

Default Is this a Cingular issue???

So, do you think I need to call the carrier?

Could this be a device-specific problem?

I'm not seeing that degree of slowness either. Have you tried a different theme to see if it makes a difference? Any pattern to the apps that are causing problems, or all?

Default ...

I will have to look at its pattern and let you know. Right now I am using the pre-installed AT&T theme. ... I have a picture as my wallpaper. ... Is that the problem?

I did notice, aiharkness, that you are using T-Mobile but you are probably right. This is a device problem -- and maybe user error?

Don't know about pic. Of course try something else. Also doubt it is the handhled per se....at least unlikely. I'll say 4.2 is slower for me than 4.1, but sounds like it is seriously bothersome in your case. My money is on something you've installed.

Did you pull the battery for 30 seconds and put it back in. It mightr run faster after you do that. It did for me on my old 8700g with 4.2.
