8800 Contact Management Just got an 8800 and I am using it with Outlook. I would like to do some quick and dirty contact management with a focus on the following:
For example, I am pretty simple; I would like for incoming e-mails ALWAYS to vibrate regardless of source. I would like my normal phone profile to have a simple, moderately loud ring plus vibrate except for important calls which I would like to have a different ring. I would also like to be able to switch to a vibrate only and silent for all incoming phone calls; and also an all silent (including e-mail) profile. I know the 8800 has filters, profiles, exceptions, groups and the ability to assign a different ringtone to individual contacts. I can also import/export in Outlook and the 8800 will sync with that. I am just looking for a good way to proceed. Thanks |

How do you sort or view contacts by category on the Blackberry? I have Curve and I am planning to seperate my personal contacts from Business contacts. All I need is just two categories, I have about 600 contacts, and about 200 of them are personal, rest business with e-mail addresses etc. I can assign them to category in Outlook, and once it is synced how will I be able to swap from on to another? Or display only certain category. I am just trying to organize my contacts and keep everything in one place, especially the ones where I have only their e-mail address, and no phone number (mainly business). Also, how can I keep my contacts on the storage card instead of on board memory to save some space? Thanks. |

heyd, you can't store contacts on the media card. You can assign the categories in the BB, those two categories are already there. |
