Question How to disable the "Here's how to unlock the keypad" message when keys are locked

Please Login to Remove!

Can this be done somehow?

I don't like that when I keypad lock my BB and then maybe a friend (or enemy) picks it up, that the phone then tells him/her how to unlock the keypad as soon as they press a key. I mean it's not really a lock if the combination comes up when someone touches it, right?

Bonus question: How does a BB know when it's in a holster?

Use a Password if you want it locked completely, and off limits to your friends and enemies. The keypad lock is just that, for locking the keypad while in your pants or purse (as your preference may be).

Bonus answer: It's a magnet.

Ah, ok thanks J. that helped. there are 2 types of lock then, keyboard and device. took me awhile to find out where to set the device lock password. for others researching this, it's Options > Security Options > General Settings
