Have you downloaded to your PC and have applications there you wish to install? Those applications you listed can be installed Over the Air directly to the BlackBerry.
Do you have a Media card (miscro SD card) installed in the BB?

Read through the FAQs and you will get some help there

Dont really have time to be doing things OTA and dont have time these days to fanny about.

Just returned the phone. I dont think anything was wrong wif the phone, i think its cos i got it from orange.

Thinking the blackberry curve from 02 could be the best option.

OTA is much much quicker than trying to load via the desktop Manager. Desktop Manager requires an .alx file and a .cod file to be saved on the computer first.

You'll need to have a microSD card installed in the phone in order to put any songs on it. The device memory has a 2.86Mb file size limit. That's smaller than most mp3's.

BBMaps is most likely installed already but hidden programatically on the device. You'll have to do a little computer work to get it to show the icon.

Most of your questions can be answered at Main Page - BlackBerryFAQ

***You are going to have the same problem with the 8300 as it works the exact same way. If you don't have time to take a few minutes to learn how to use your device then don't come here asking us to spoon feed you.

I think it may be the fact that you didn't take enough time to learn how it works.

Good GRIEF!

OTA is as fast and trouble free as it gets.

Your problem is not wanting to take even a small amount of time to learn about your new device!

Type www . google . com/gmm (remove spaces) in your browser and load GMM and see if you can connect the GPS.

Yes, but you can only load a file to the device that is 2.86Mb or smaller. You NEED a microSD card to load your media to.

go to:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader

and delete that Vendor.xml file. Restart Blackberry Desktop and it should work.

Don't forget to invest a good spell checker for your phone.
