I don't think it is possible but I thought I'd ask just to sure. I have the 8820 and it of course has wifi. The BB can synchronize using a USB cable or using bluetooth. Is it possible to synchronize using wifi?

It would be nice if it could because it would be faster than bluetooth and require no cables.

The only way I know of to wirelessy sync is via BES and that is done through the cellular network, not WiFi.

And since the 8820 hasn't officially been released, at least here int he USA, most of us don't know much about it.

If so, there should be an option in Desktop Manager under Connection Settings.

There is no option to sync via Wifi as Desktop Manager has not been updated for a little while.

Will that support be added in the near future? I would not hold my breath. Traditional, serial COMM ports will be the only source of sync to Desktop Manager for the foreseeable future.
