Ummm maybe I'm retarded.. I just started using the BB. When I get an email on it I hit replay. It puts the cursor where it should I type my reply...

But then... there is no send button?!?!?! How do I actually send it. The menu button doesn't have a send option. It has a send email to: but then you have to start over and it's not a reply... Hmmm confusing.

When you click reply, does it actually place a name in the TO: field?

It should, if not you will need to enter it.

Try pulling the battery and rebooting. If it is really new, I wonder if the service books have all loaded.

Yeah the name is there, in the to: field. I just need to find a send button

If the host routing table thing doesn't work then go back to where you setup your email for the BB and "send service books."

You mean in order to reply to an email I have to do something with a host routing table? Hmmmm i'm wicked confused.

Say you are in outlook. You create an email. When you are done you hit the "Send" button. Boom it's sent. Is there no SEND button? This is weird.

The Blackberry is not Outlook. Without the proper service books for your email setup you will not get a send button because there is no email service to send through. Why not just try what I suggested instead of being skeptical of my help?

I did that. I registered again. Still no send book. I thought maybe you guys were confused as to what I was asking. My bad.

How do I set up the service books again? I went in there under Advanced Options and saw my email address in there.

There *should* be an option for Send - try resending the service books from your BIS account (via your carriers website) as John suggests and see if that helps.

Muah, how long have you had this BB and how long as the email account been provisioned?]

Sometime, it can take several hours.

Here is the link to Sprint's BIS site, in case you don't have it:

Man, you guys rock. Lots of responses and quick. You'd think I'd be able to figure it out as I'm in IT. LOL

I will try resending the books. Willl keep you posted. Thanks again!

I set up my BIS account about 24 hours ago. So assuming I get this set up properly. Where will the send button be? Under the menu?

For me, when I reply, I see Send when I click the trackball. I can take a pic if you want.

Yes, the send button/link will be under the menu.

If you compose a NEW email, does that allow you to send?

Yes, if I click Compose Email under the menu button I can send it by hitting the trackball. The send option is there.

Hmm, looks like it's working now. I went to the Sprint BIS website. (Which stupid Sprint never showed or explained to me!!). I resent books from there and it appears to be working. It also added another icon to my desktop for my gmail account as well as my sprint.blackberry.net account. I think I'm set.

Another OT question real quick. Before this I was on Tmobile with the Dash (Total horrible BTW) The only thing I liked was the Live search application from MSFT. I don't think you can use Live search on the BB. Is there something similar to that. Where you search for a place and it pops up the number address and map? I guess Sprint Navigation would do the trick.

Thanks again!

You can also use Google Maps (free and GPS enabled for your device).

Download it by navigating to Google Maps from your Blackberry.
