Default Lost the Plot ~ Need email Help

Please Login to Remove!

I have 5 email accounts on my Blackberry 8800. I seem to remember that I can have up to 10 accounts. However I cannot work out how to add or delete accounts.

When I click on the set up wizard and then email set up button, the only option I get is a Blackberry Enterprise Server work email account. Where do I go to set up a private email account or to dellete an email account?

Thanks for any assistance.

First of all are you on BES or BIS. If on BES your company IT department may not allow you to add email addresses.

If you are on BIS simply log onto your account via the internet and add up to 10.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830: BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Click on e-mail settings from your home screen and see what happens.

Thanks for the info. I must be on BIS as all my accounts are private and are not done through my company.

I don't appear to have an Icon to click on which is email settings. I seem to remember doing it through the set up wizard in the past. There would be a setting allowing me to add email accounts but I appear to have lost it.

It is bugging the life out of me

Is there a website from Orange that you can access (via blackberry of PC) that allows you to manage the email accounts? I can manage mine through a Cingular/ATT website as well.

I googled Orange and BIS and got this Orange BIS Login > www.scancom.co.uk > Scancom Distribution Ltd t/as scancom.co.uk

You will use your user name and password. If you do not have that then you will need to call Orange and have them reset it so you can get into your account.

Default Email Help

Thank you for all the help.

I have finally accessed my BIS account via Orange in the UK and have sorted out the email accounts..........except for the fact that I still have an email icon for the deleted account on the home screen of my Blackberry. Can someone finally assist me to rid myself of the icon from my home screen?

Just for info I have deleted the account through BIS and have deleted the service books. However there is still an undelete function which, if selected will probably put the last deleted service book in the folder. This will be the service book for the icon I wish to remove.

Is this causing me the icon problem?

If the service book is not listed in Service books, then there should be no icon for it. Usually if you delete an account via BIS, BIS deletes the account from your BB automatically. If it's deleted and the service book isn't on there anymore do a battery pull and see if it's just that hanging up the icon.
