Today I will be picking up my new Verizon Blackberry 7250. Are there any special steps I need to take or be aware of in transferring data, such as browser bookmarks, etc. from my T-Mobile 7230 to the new 7250?

Can I simply synchronize the new 7250 with my existing Desktop Manager and Outlook 2003? Can I go into backup and restore the bookmarks into the new device?

Or should I first install new desktop manager software for the 7250?

Do a back up of your 7230 first, then restore your 7250 from back up. This method should pull over all you messages, bookmarks, profiles settings etc. as they were on the 7230.

That's what I thought I remembered reading in a previous posting, either here or at PDAStreet. I was concerned about compatability issues, but for just a data dump, like browswers, etc. it shouldn't be a problem, I hope.

Thanks for the response. I'll give it a go this afternoon when I bring it home. If there's a problem, we'll just start over and go from there!
