Default Bluetooth Not Working With New Car??

Please Login to Remove!

I just recently purchased a new car and now my bluetooth is not working. Dealership is telling me it's because the firmware is not 4.0 or higher. Can anyone confirm that statement?

If so, I have downloaded the 4.2 desktop software, but when I go to plug my 8700c in and begin to update my handheld, it asks me for a password.

Is that the basic password used when pairing? Someone help me, please.
