7250 no data plan internet browser
 

Hi, im new to this. I got a 7250 blackberry from a friend and i activated it through bell. But i didn't get the data plan. On my voice plan i have unlimited internet access am i able to view web pages with that on the blackberry? i was told i could from bell but i don't feel like calling them again.

For the first part of that i don't even have the TCP option. and Bell isn't listed. So why am i paying an extra 15$ a month if i can't use the internet?

Good question! I would recommend getting an unlimited BlackBerry data plan (if one is offered) as with that I believe you will be able to browse the Internet. If your carrier does not offer a data plan then I would cancel the Internet access plan.

one more question :P i don't understand, i had a normal cell and i browsed the internet fine with my 15$ a month extra whats soo diffrent with the blackberry, seems like a scam to me.

BlackBerries communicate differently than other cell phones, and that is why the BlackBerry data plan is necessary. With the BlackBerry data plan you will get the push e-mail and Internet browsing. That is just how it is. It may not be the device for you, though.

You don't need any software. You just need a BlackBerry Data Plan provisioned on your account. Once you have a BlackBerry Data Plan, the Internet Browser icon will show up on your device.

I am trying to do the same thing.

There MUST be a way to use the internet without getting a blackberry data plan.

I can't afford it and I already have the internet feature on my phone through my cell plan.

So, instead of people saying "get a data plan" how about a few solutions instead?
