Default How do I transfer a video to my BB8830?

Please Login to Remove!

I tried using the Media Manager. I have the clip in the upper window pane and select it. Then I click Copy Down. Next it asks me if i want to convert or copy the file. When I select convert and OK, it says "One ore more of the following files could not be transferred"

What does this mean? How am i supposed to convert it for play on the BB?

Or tape your iPod to the top of the BB, and press play - just kidding - really a joke, one of my favs.

I tried using both the Blackberry Video Creator and

mencoder -vf scale=240:120 fremont.avi -o fremontsmall.avi -of avi -ovc lavc -oac lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vbitrate=230:acodec=mp3:abitrate=64

and

mencoder -vf scale=320:240 fremont.avi -o fremontsmall.avi -of avi -ovc lavc -oac lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vbitrate=230:acodec=mp3:abitrate=64

I put it in the micro SD folder BlackBerry/Videos and it says "Loading.." in green then turns to red and says "Error Playing" i n the upper right hand corner. a Pop up window comes up for 2 seconds saying "The media being played is of an unsupported format"

I've tried with a few different videos and no luck

Did sprint do something to screw this up? I just bought my phone.

I read all of those and tried all 3 solutions from the BlackBerry FAQ. It is NOT working with ANY video. I have tried different resolutions and framerates and followed all of the instructions but it WILL not play. It keeps saying the format is unsoported with Super, BlackBerry Video and mencoder.

Does anyone else have any ideas? I am not on crack I am not High I am not drunk but I am VERY VERY VERY frustrated. I can not believe it is this damn hard and that no one else is having a problem like this

Those settings did not work, the video cut off in the middle. I have some new ones that I think I have working. I will post them in the media forum on that media thread when I have tested with some more videos.
