Hello all, newbie to the boards.
I was working on a 8830 with Verizon, which is used on a Mac. I had trouble transfering calender items from the BB to the Mac, called tech support found out there was a patch, Did a backup off all info, followed the direction on BB website and what I found on here and installed the calendar patch. And ofcourse I got the "205 app error" So then with some searching found there was a whole new BB OS service pack 4.2.2.148(edited) Followed direction from this site and from BB.com and when the OS install had finished, and a restore was performed - ALL calendar items were missing. Nothing "0" showed up in the restore window, under calender but anything and everything else transfered over fine. Now since I could not use PocketMac for blackberry on Macintosh nor the BB Desktop manager on Windows, I can not use either of those to sync over the info....
Am I at a total loss here? Is the fact that the older OS had an issue that would not allow calendar items to transfer from the BB to the Mac/PC be the reason why nothing transfered over in a backup?? Ifso why would the tech support guy not have told me this??

Is this the OS you updated to? If so, Calendar should work normally.

Yes that is the OS version, it has been a long day. And sorry for posting in the wrong forum - once again, long day....

I know the calendar should work fine, but it doesn't and as I mentioned nothing came over on the restore.

I saw your thread transfered here. I had the same problem when I upgraded to the new OS but i didn't know there was a calender patch at the time. Tech support told me since that the patch was not installed the upgrade i did for the current OS, did not back up my calender. Went to restore and no calender was saved. The upgrade went fine but I had to redo everything in Calender again. I knew I should of sync to outlook but I don't use it since I had the blackberry haha.

serious - I knew of the patch and tried to do the patch and got an error on reboot, so I HAD to do the OS install. Well this user (not me the senior lawyer at my firm whose blackberry I was working on) just bought an iPhone - effing blackberry!!!!!!
