i love my 8800 but the at&t on the phone surface towards the bottom is uuuugly. any tips on removin it without damaging it cosmetically. thanks

Not recommended. Has been known to scratch up the device.

Cover the logo with a piece of black paper. Put your phone in a photocopier and photocopy. The copy will then come out with the logo blanked out. Transfer all your settings to copy phone and use as before.

Sorry couldn't resist a bit of nonsense. You could buy a skin for the phone from seidio. I use the rubberized one and it hides the logo and of course protects the phone.

It the AT&T logo SO bad that you would rather have a ugly scratched up area to replace it.

I had a frined who was able to remove the logo on a phone a year or two ago but he tried with his Curve and ruined the surface finish BIG TIME!

I did, and it works as advertised. The key, as noted, is the use of the toothpaste as a polish.

If you try to remove the logo and it goes awry, you can replace the case.
