Default 7100i Not Fully Charging

Please Login to Remove!

So I had my 7100 replaced this past weekend b/c i dropped the old one and cracked the LCD. Question I have is that the new BB will not fully charge my battery to 100% only to 80%. Anyone have any ideas on what's up!?!

That's been an issue with the 7100 series devices. I used to have the issue with my old 7100t with the extended battery. If you reboot the device it will usually say 95% or so. Have you tried that? I gave up worrying about it.

yup did that 3 times already still shows 85% and when i plug it to the charger for that next 2 - 4 hours (while at work) it still says only 85% and thats it. Now I know its not the battery b/c it worked well with the old bb. Any other info.

This probably meas that the physical battery is dying or near dead. I had ths issue I needed to replace my battery. That's probably i, take it to be looked at first though.

I am having this problem too. I tried buying a new battery and got the same result. I have researched this problem and this is a known problem with this version of the Blackberry software. While this is a problem with everyone I know that owns this phone, nothing is being done about it. Maybe, hopefully, a future update will resolve this issue. Unfortunately, this is the only Blackberry that Nextel currently offers.

I even tried getting a 7520 from Nextel, but they have discontinued. Nextel/Sprint customer service informed me that I can always change service and get a Blackberry through Sprint, but no PPT.
