Please Login to Remove!

I have the 8830 from verizon in the Options/About it shows:
v4.2.2.148 (Platform 3.0.067)

Is this the most up to date system RIM/Verizon has?

look at the stickies at the top of the 8800 series discussion and it will have the latest 8830 OS. You can use any 8830 OS on your phone.

Tomas, you can't use an OS from another device. You can't use an OS from the 7200 on an 8800 or vice versa.
