Default Newbie Email Help

Hello everyone. I am a new 8830 user.

I am having a problem with my Desktop MAnager email setup. When I click on the email function I receive the following error: Email settings are not available without an online connection to your messaging system. If anyone can clue me in as to what to do, I would me most appreciative.

Thanks in advance for your help. This is a great forum.

It means that in BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service), you don't have email and message synchronization over the air--wirelessly. You must have BES (Enterprise Service) for that to occur.
