Default 8703e and Plantronics headset...help!?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I have had the 8703e BB and a HATIS headset..for the 2.5 jack (not bluetooth) to work with my hearing-aid...I could hear the caller but NOT myself...as if the microphone was muted.

Then I got a MC210C plantronics....to the 2.5 jack...I can hear the caller and NOT myself again...what is going on here?

When I used the serial adapter a year ago for the Razr, I could hear both ways.

I'm getting confused and frustrated because I like to hear my own voice when talking privately on the headset so I won't have to yell or speak too loudly.

Thanks.,

-Adam

I don't think Blackberry works that way. I don't hear myself when talking into any headset, bluetooth or wired.

I can see your need to hear yourself but I've never had a headset that would allow me to hear myself either. I searched around the internet for any references to headsets and found nothing other than people complaining that they get an echo of their own voice sometimes. Good luck with your search. If you find an answer, please post it here so others will know.

Really!? That's interesting. So in other words, when you talk your voice is muted although the callers can hear you and you can hear the callers but not your own voice?

For some reason with the serial port adapter for the 2.5 jack on my HATIS headset...which was used on the Motorola Razr last year...I could hear both ways.

That's bizarre. Seems like it is normal for cell phone headsets to work like that...but if you used a headset on a regular cordless landline phone, then that would be different, yes?
