I bought a blackberry 8800 for T-mobile from ebay. I also bought an unlock code and followed the instruction to unlock the phone. It was confirmed the phone is in unlock stage

"Personalization:

SIM Disable
Network Disable
Newtork Subset Disable
Service Provider Disable
Corporate Disable "

However, when I put the At&t SIM card into the phone and the phone still show "Insert SIM Card"

I had contacted the party who provided me the unlock code and they told me that it is related to the SIM card not the phone itself.

Can somebody provide me some ideas?

Are you putting the SIM card in correctly? I am not sure which way it is supposed to go, but I that could be a problem.

Also, have you pulled the battery for about 30 seconds and let the BB reboot? that fixes many problems.

i agree with Dub the sim slides in with the cliped corner out check the placement of the sim

I found the SIM card was not sit right in the slot. I had to try couple times to make it worked. Now it is working.
