Hi,

I have been having problems with my phone for the past few months in that when I plug the mini USB cable into the charging port, I have to twist and adjust the angles in order to get the "charging" symbol to pop up on the screen. This has been annoying enough, but now the phone will not charge at all!! The internal charing port on the phone moves around now and needs to be replaced.

Can anyone direct me to a place that I can buy this part, as my phone is out of warranty and I cannot upgrade for another 6 months. Alsp, can you provide me with step by step directions or pictures on how to replace?

a alternative would be just a external battery charger and extra battery

I am purchasing one of them right now, but I was hoping for it to only be temprorary b4 I find a fix for it.

That port is soldered on maybe hard to fix unless your good at it

The Mini USB port is not something that takes to twisting and adjusting well. Depending on your technical ability, try to re-adjust the strike pins. You will need to make sure they are contacting the input jack pins. They basically slide into the contacts. Look at a larger version of the USB jack and see if you feel you can make the change. Your only other option is as stated in the above post is to re-solder a new jack on. This may be something you may not want to do without all the required tools including a microscope.
