For all new 7100t owners, does anyone else have a battery cover that is a little loose (slides back and forth a millimeter or so lengthwise and likely half that widthwise)? I know it's no big deal, but it is annoying feeling it move all the time when typing.
Thanks
Yeah, mine moves a bit. I don't think it's more than a millimeter and I didn't notice it until you mentioned it. You must put a death grip on that when you type! ;)
Mine did the same. I folded a post-it a few times over and put it on top of the battery. I would imagine any piece of paper would do. No more silding. Low-tech fix comes to the rescue.
I just recvd my 7100 and the battery door cover is loose on mine also. This seems to affect the backlight underneath my keys. I notice when I am typing that lights on half the keyboard dims. At first I thought it was some kind of short, but noticed if I put pressure on the battery door as I am typing the lights all stay the same. Not a big deal in the daytime, but I was typing in very low light and the keys flickering almost drove me crazy. May try the folded paper trick before sending it back.
Speaking of loose items on the Blackberry, I also have the 7100t, and my end button (red phone hang-up button) is loose. It actually seems like it might come unglued, or just pop out. I'm scared, and will be pissed if it actually does fall off...
My battery door cover's loose as well, but if you purchase a case that fits, this will be the least of your concerns...I just went to T-Mobile and picked up a case through them that was (of course) designed for the 7100...not only does it stop me from noticing the battery door (even when typing), but it protects both the screen and keyboard...pretty simple solution along with a somewhat wise investment.
