Default 8700 Spell Check & 4.2.2

Please Login to Remove!

Isn't spell check built into 4.2.2? Into RIMs OS? Or is this a feature only with the 8300, 8800? I own a personal 8300(curve) just got assigned a 8700 (cing) and I updated the OS to 4.2.2 and I'm not seeing a spell checker built into the OS. Did this every happen or am I smoking something?

Is your OS really 4.2.2 or is it 4.2.1? The latest OS for the 8700 is 4.2.1 and it doesn't have spell check. The only devices with 4.2.2 right now are the 8300, 8820 and 8830.

There is no built in spell check for the 8700.

Not on the 8800. I use LexSpell which costs $10.

Right now, the built-in spell checker is only on the Curve and may the 8830 (those devices with 4.2.2 OS)

I use BBCorrector on my old 8700 and current 8800.

dam. I love the spell check on my curve. Thanks guys. I must have misread it. And thanks for the quick replies. And suddenly depression sinks in. Is there anychance of 4.2.2 coming out for the 8700s at all?

I would expect 4.3. It's likely that 4.2.2 will be skipped and everything will move to 4.3. With so many things not being fixed in 4.2.1, it wouldn't surprise me if this is the case.

btw on totally random arc. Do you use the same enterprise password for you email account for all blackberries or is it machine specific[or maybe account specific]?(know what I mean) Anyone know offhand? Hate to bug the IT guys more than once, as I told them I was updating for the spell checker ..but apparently I made the mistake.
