drama, just bought my first BB after looking at the Palm and deciding the BB was perhaps a better option, but now I am not so sure.
I am in Australia, here is my question, my telehone mobile provider is Optus, My web host and Broadband and personal/business emails are all Bigpond.
I went to the Bigpond site and they said to get emails to the BB go to the BB site??? and turn the option on??
Anyway I have tried to navigate through the BB site and find it frankly draconian and dead slow, and very poor information ( I was beginning to wonder if BB was in China).
And I have not found out whether I can can link to Bigpond or not.
If not the BB is for me a big waste of space in my pocket as getting a unit that could get and send email was my primary reason for buying this unit.
The other gripe I have is why is there no software that can be used to access the phones data, ( My TOMTOM for example is plug and play on the PC and darn easy to use ) IE: how the heck can I load a spreadsheet of information ( pricelist ), or a PDF to this thing and use it as I would a Palm.
Any help would be greatfully received.

Friend, the BlackBerry is not a PC or laptop, it is a mobile messaging device, you will find it operates differently has certain limitations that you are used to having on a PC.

You need to go to the BIS website for your Optus carrier and signup your account and setup your email there.
