Default Wiping memory on 8700g without using scrollwheel

Please Login to Remove!

The scrollwheel on my 8700g broke off and into my blackberry. Just got my replacement one today and before shipping off the busted one, I want to wipe the memory clean, but I don't know how. Any suggestions?

Do you have a password set on the device? If so, let it lock and then put in the password wrong 10 times in a row. That'll wipe all the data.

If that doesn't work you may want to use JL_Cmder to remove the OS and all the data. It's in my sig.

No kidding?!? I might have to try that. What about using Desktop Manager, and then going to Backup and Restore, Advanced, and then deleting all the Device Databases? Is this the same thing?

Edit: Actually it may, I'm not sure. I've never tried it that way before

Have T-Mobile and no BES. Still can't get the app to install either. I just went the way of using the Desktop Manager to erase all the various databases on my 8700g. Can't seem to think of any other way to do this.
