Default BES vs BIS

Please Login to Remove!

I am hoping someone can help me out here.

I have BB8703e have had it sine Feb. of this year.

My company uses BES and everything was working great until last week. When I wasn't able to send or receive email, my calendar won't update, my contacts won't update, basically anything that was done wirelessly doesn't work anymore. My IT dept has reset my account a few times and has me try to reactivate my account. But everytime I try to reactivate my account I get a message saying that "the server has timed out contact your system admistrator" So now they have deleted my from the BES and are rebuilding it, in hope that will reactivate everything.

But in the mean I have set up my BB to access email from BIS. So my question is what are the differences of using BIS vs BES.

If anyone has any ideas on why BES is working that would be appriciated to.

Thanks in advance for your help.

There are a lot of differences between BES and BIS. I'd suggest starting with BlackberryFAQ.com.
