Default 8703e Media center not recognizing device

Please Login to Remove!

just got a 8703e and my media center will not detect the devide even though the desktop manager does? What do i do?

Welcome to the forums.

You can't use Media manager with the 8703. Media Manager requires 4.2 OS on the handheld. 4.2 OS is not available on the 8703.

well how do i transfer pics and music between the two? surely i can do that somehow aye?

Unfortunatly, not. You can email pics to yourself and download them from websites. Ringtones need to be downloaded from websites.

I think there are a couple of commercial apps available....BerryPix and Ascendo Photos that will do that but they are not free.

If you have a data plan you can download all that stuff quite easily. Did you get it new? If so, you can return and exchange it for the 8830. The 8830 will do all that.
