I will add a few pics of the 7280 guts. I was mostly interested in how the screen can be removed without causing any damage. Let me asure you, you need to be really careful, but it can be done.

There's a electrical ribbon connecting the screen to the circuit board. The ribbon is held in place with a black plastic clip covering most of the circuit board. It can be removed fairly easily even though it might not seem at first.

All the parts have already been either sent to people who have already inquired about them or trashed.

Also, take a look at these 2 pics. I am not quite sure what this is, but perhaps it's the antenna? Let me know your thoughts. It's the same in the 7290.

The little metal deal on top of the contact spins 360, while the contact stays in place. You are looking at the plate which would place the object on the opposite side of the wheel. Perhaps it's a alien tracking probe (for those Xfiles fans out there).

I bet that's what it is! It is weight balanced on one side so it would definitely make a nice wobble when spinning.
