I was told (and read) that slingbox would be available to download to blackberry devices, incuding the 7130. Has anyone heard about this or seen any software downloads?

I haven't heard anything. In fact, what I have heard is that it's too slow on EDGE devices, making it for sure too slow on GPRS devices. However, the 7130 (cdma) may support it in the future .

With all that said, it may not be a lost cause. We just have to wait and see what Sling comes up with. I wouldn't look for it too soon for the 7130c, however.
