Default compose SMS

Please Login to Remove!

I updated new OS to 4.2.1.101, and I noticed that when you click on Compose, it directs you to the address book , which is normal, but when you select one contact and press Enter or trackball, it calls that contact instead of composing a text. Does anyone else get this as well? I remember when I use the older version, it is different.
Thanks for reading and advices.

"Compose" is likely just for composing email. If there is no email address it probably just defaults to a phone call.

From the Messages list press the menu key and select "Compose sms" and see if that works.

Jay, ditto John.

If you have only one number entered for a contact, pressing the trackball in their address book entry will call them.
If you have two+ phone numbers entered, it will give you a choice of phones to call.
However, if you press the menu key (left of trackball) you will see the compose email option.
