Default LED indicator on 8703e always blinks Green.

Please Login to Remove!

Here is another little pet peeve of mine that has started to bother me lately and need some help trying to rectify.

I downloaded some themes for my 8703e like the Zen theme and the I-Phone theme and when I recieve emails, or chat messages, my LED indicator will not blink Red to let me know that I have recieved something new.

With the normal pre-loaded themes, the LED indicator works as it should, but with the new themes it will not. Phone is operating with the current OS and the themes work well. A few minor glitches in settings with themes, but nothing that is too concerning, like defining what programmable buttons do what. I can switch from one theme to the next and the previous settings that I had are gone for the programmable buttons. I can live with this.

The blinking Red LED thing is important to me, because it seems that more and more lately, I don't feel my BB vibrate and I am missing out on alerts and notifications.

Anybody have any pointers or able to point me in the right direction?

TIA

-J

Did you check your notification settings in the profile?

Profile>Advanced>Menu>Edit (select account or message type)

Is Repeat Notification: is it set to LED Notification?

I should have known better than that.

Thanks. That resolved my issue.

Even if your situation is resolved. You could also check out BBalerts, there is a setting that it will keep vibrating until you've checked the mail (or click the track wheel while still in the holster)...in addition, you can have it blink any color for incoming emails.
