When I am receiving something via BT, I have to click 'Receive Using Bluetooth' - Are you doing that?

There is a decent media player in the Aftermarket Software section here by Dollars5. Look for that one.

AFAIK, on an 8700 series, BT is voice only unless you have OS 4.2 installed. I know it is that way on the 8700.

Yes, exctly as Dub stated. I overlooked you had a 8707, and there is really no need for a media player, as you really don't have any reason to have videos and mp3s on it (other than ringtones). ditto on the BT transfer, not gonna happen on that model.
